First open STEAM console press (window+R) key, then execute this: steam://open/console
Then on STEAM Console download this 3 depots:
download_depot 2677660 2677662 4053064344217040171
download_depot 2677660 2677661 5649618929513161339
download_depot 2677660 2830501 5687220090347415343
(when it finish downloading an depot should give an message, just wait... one of this depots are big more than 100GB).
Now go to your STEAM instalation folder and check the files on steamapps\content\
"should be a folder there" inside that folder will be 3 with depots, cut what is inside of each one, and replace it on The Great Circle folder where you installed the game.
Cheers!
is there the way to do the same for PC gamepass ?
Thank you so much for this, it works like a charm. Hesitant to update my drivers from 566.14, so this instruction literally is a saving grace. Hopefully no game updates coming soon :)
EDIT: aaaand they released update few hours later. xD
A downgrade from upate 4 to update 3 is not necessary.
Just change only 1 line. ^^
steamapps\common\The Great Circle\base vulkan_driver_versions.json
line 4
"lowest" : { "major" : 566, "minor" : 36, "patch" : 0 },
change to
"lowest" : { "major" : 566, "minor" : 14, "patch" : 0 },
Game then starts without complaining that the driver is too old.
