Does it feel stuttery despite good FPS for you guys ?
So i got textures to medium, shadows medium and everything else on high - FPS is smooth no problems, im getting 80-90 FPS even without DLSS.

But there are moments like for example in combat or if i sprint that the game just feels like it stutters for some reason.

My PC

CPU : RYZEN 5 3600
RAM : 16 GB DDR4
GPU : RTX 4060 - 8 GB VRAM

Also yes i know the RTX 4060 isn't exactly an amazing GPU but it handles pretty much anything i throw at it without issues - im at 1080p resolution, im not playing at 1440p or 4K.

Do you guys also get the feel like the game's stuttering despite high FPS ?

I repeat - the FPS doesn't drop when this happens, it stays like 80-90 FPS but the game just feels stuttery like im on an online server and lagging when playing something like COD for example.

No the game feels very smooth to me.
I have everything on max on a 4090 incl FG.

i9, 50gb RAM, rtx4070dual 16gb, upscaled to 4k and playing on 2k LCD, capped at 75fps, runs like Quake Arena. ...switch off the frame generation as it had flicker problems and probably set dlss at auto etc, cap the fps with your LCD refresh rate

For some reason the cutscenes sometimes have a stutter. Gameplay is always smooth as silk. I think it's a frame gen issue with the cutscenes, it gets disabled accidentally or something when the framerate locks at 60 during them

Im not using frame gen at all.

It's just weird that at native i get 70-80 FPS and doesn't drop, but if i turn on DLSS it feels way smoother.

But in both cases : native and DLSS it doesn't drop below 80 FPS at all - just feels choppier when it's on native, not sure why.

I noticed that the game's frame pacing / frame timing seemed to be off, especially at the beginning (which might be what you're perceiving), and there was also a weird strobe effect happening at the edges of my screen. Not sure if it had anything to do with it, but I force vsync through my driver and use freesync as well.

What ended up fixing the issues for me was capping my framerate to half my max refresh rate. Smooth as butter now.

the game has terrible frame pacing, i feel like the people saying its smooth are playing at a higher frame rate where its less noticeable. Also if you're playing a with a controller like me its going to stand out much worse, mouse and keyboard always feels jittery anyway lol.
i still notice with when its at 138fps which is what i cap at for VRR. im very prone to noticing frame drops and bad frame pacing and i can not stand it, put me off playing it. the only thing that fixed it ( mostly ) is turning off VRR and using a fixed refresh rate at 60hz and capping it in game to 60fps. still feels slightly jittery though, some weird strobe effect when panning the camera, makes it feel less smooth than it should. better than bad frame pacing though

Using Special K seems to revolve this for mem.

Use the internal fps monitoring tool, check whether the constant red spikes are on the CPU line, if so then it's another process running in the background, in my case it was the NZXT CAM app.

After what was possibly a windows 11 Update the game has become a frame pacing hell on a 4090/7800X3D combo.

It was running absolutely fine and now it's not great. I can only solve it by turning all RT off. It gets worse after Egypt... especially in Thailand...not sure what has happened? FG fails to work...it's odd as I had a windows update I am sure and then the games frame pacing went to ♥♥♥♥...but this is via the Xbox app PC...

Yes! Horrible frame pacing when not using Frame Gen despite getting over 70 fps on my 4070 TI Super.

Apparently it's an issue with the latest Nvidia driver (566.36) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuGc2qvw0p8

I found capping fps helps a lot. For example the game can reach 120fps but feels stuttery, capping fps to 100 (or any value that you can consistently hit) for some reason feels a lot smoother and has less input lag.

Having low latency manually enabled in NVCP introduced major frame-time spikes and stutters with ~48fps max. Once I turned that off it's butter smooth running 4k@120hz full send settings

Cutscene have a slightly unstable framerate, but the game runs fine. I put it on DLSS (quality), VSYNC via Nivida Tools (because for some reason it was not working with ingame settings). Runs buttery smooth.

If your cutscenes are stuttery 30fps but the gameplay seems fine it means you're exceeding your VRAM pool. RTSS/afterburner should show this as maxed GPU ram. The hair setting in particular is taxing with multiple characters on screen together when at high so I would suggest medium setting hair (barely noticeable difference). This requires game restart like vram pool size setting. If you're still having issues try bumping shadows down a notch.

I would bump past my VRAM pool with a 4080S when trying to use DLAA at 1440p - but only during cutscenes. I was able to stay within the vram budget by switching to DLSS quality and keep the higher settings with frame gen. while maintaining a proper frame-time graph.
I should also mention I'm running the last official driver release and not the current. I hear there's a bug with the driver profile on latest release - along with killing off the control panel.

I noticed sometimes I get really bad input lag when I boot into a save in a demanding area. Alt-tabbing out and into the game fixes it for some reason.
