Help - Low GPU Usage
I would like some help. I've noticed that my framerate has been rather subpar (often dipping into the low 40s or worse), and I decided to check my GPU/CPU usage using Rivatuner and I found out that in intensive scenes my GPU usage is sitting at 80% or so (with CPU going up to ~70%). Also, adjusting the settings to as low as they can go did little to help.

My specs:

AMD Ryzen 2700X
Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti
32 GB RAM @ 3066 Mhz
NVME SSD

I realize that the CPU isn't the best, but from what I've read bottlenecks shouldn't be an issue in this game. I've also tried some other methods I've seen to improve performance (turning off Nvidia low latency, turning on in-game V-sync, switching to TAA and back to DLSS) and none of them worked.

I have the same Problem so i understand your pain. The Game is not well optimized

Why wouldn't bottlenecks be an issue?

The issue is your cpu/gpu is not powerful enough to run this game at higher settings and fps.

What are you on about? The game is very well optimised…

The issue is op’s cpu. I have a 3800x and have the same low gpu usage in some spots because i am being bottlenecked

The 2700x is worse than the 3600, which is the minimum required cpu

I wouldn't say that. By most other accounts the game is very well optimized, at least considering how much it's rendering on screen. Both you and me are outliers so it's hard to say whether it's the game's fault.

Because various performance analysts have said that the game is not CPU heavy? This isn't like Spider-Man or Dragon's Dogma 2 where that would be an issue.

Also, I've already said that lowering the settings did little to help. If you're not going to be of assistance then ignore this thread.

The reason lowering the settings didn’t help is because of the cpu bottleneck…

Just because its not cpu heavy doesn’t mean you can’t still run into bottlenecks, certainly with a cpu below minimum requirements.

If i were you id max most settings out other than shadows and shader cache, seeing that lower settings won’t gain you any fps

Im also having issues with low usage. I have a 7800x3d and a 4070 ti super and im getting only 60 to 70 percent usage on the gpu if Vsync is not enabled. However, when I do enable Vsync the game stutters like crazy but I get 100 percent ustilization.

Totally agree.
Will wait for the next patches.
