exactly...I wrote a suggestion on Bethesda webpage formular to improve the game ...maybe if there was more of us, maybe the would release a patch
It's also impossible to locate some some of your objectives without the map. It's daunting having to pull it out every few seconds when looking for something.
Still have a habit of wanting to hit V from playing too much Starfield.
I've had a hell of a time learning the ins and outs of the Vatican map. It's a bit easier than learning Hogwarts, but after eight hours, I still haven't covered it all.
I noticed that YouTubers are opening their maps constantly. I don't play like that. I just go by visuals. Landmarks and the environment.
Helpful hint players like Quick Tips will leave the map open while walking to show you where to go.
That's crazy. Could never play that way.
but im sure you open your Journal and if you have a map of the location (which is needed if you want to collect all collectibles) you see in your Journal exactly the same things which are on the map ...its awfully designed game
even if hints and quest markers were only visible on the map, but even if you open your Journal, the first thing opened is the map...awful
yeah, God of War could say one or two words about this...
and? What has that game to do with Indiana Jones? you nuts?
they did not fix anything, Atreus or whoever is with you still resolve puzzles for you..
The fact that the markers only appear when you look at the map makes perfect sense in the game as it is a reference which has things marked on it and when Indy looks at it he is visualising where those locations are in relation to where he currently is. We see these as icons on-screen for convenience. It is terrific game design in my opinion. At no point did I feel that I was forced to use the map though so if I wanted to I could have just ignored it completely to make the game more challenging.
You can also buy guides throughout the game in each location that show where various collectibles and stuff are but again that makes sense within the game (you would mark them on a map, right) and if you want to find everything for yourself then you simply don't buy them.
I have absolutely no complaints about the game in that regard.
My only issue is that I wish the UI was more customisable so that the Health meter only displayed when Indy is injured or during combat rather than being on the screen all the time.
What makes perfect sense? When you are looking at the map looking for something's location which Indiana Jones does not know and the game tells you where it is? Perfect sense?
The game actually treats players like idiots. Quest markers are not only visible on the map but also in the Journal, which completely destroy the "dont look at the map if you do not want to see quest markers" theory.
Do you know, what would have had perfect sense?
If you turned OBJECTIVE MARKES OFF and they would stayed OFF.
You say its visualition, I say its handholding.
