left thumbstick on xbox controller on PC is also triggering directional buttons

Playing on Game Pass on PC. Close to 5 hours into the game. I use a powerA wired 360 controller to play games on PC. Up until now I've had no issues. But all of a sudden today I tried to boot up the section past the Giants tomb in Vatican City and all of a sudden I move forward and the camera comes out. Move left, revolver, etc.
I've tried resetting all the controller AND PC bindings to default. I've unplugged and plugged in my controller, while in the game and before starting the game and nothing has helped.

At the same time I also noticed my graphics settings changed completely too. Even the resolution. Something definitely happened but I can't figure out what.
