Sukhothai FPS drop?

So I just got there. On my 4080 running Very Ultra I was in the 120s or so for FPS back in Egypt. Here, I'm dropping to 80ish. I know there is a lot of water and shadows - is that the deal? I dropped down to Very High with minimal improvement.

Now, I have Full Ray tracing on so that might be part of it.

that area dropped my frames a bit too. texture pool, shadows and hair are the most taxing. id suggest dropping those down a tick for this area them bringing them back up in the next one

okay thanks - without spoilers, is this the last big area of the game I am guessing? so far i am really enjoying it. spent like 10 hours in both the Vatican area and Egypt a piece.

Yes, it is. the game has the 3 large hub levels and the rest are more liner story ones. same. I finished the game at 30 hours.
