You are just using graphics settings which require more VRAM that you have.
Reduce textures size according to the recommendations.
Also guys my game freezes when reaching the menu now, though I still hear the sound of water but I was playing fine yesterday, can you guys paste the same responses to me so I can confirm that I must actually be lying and I'm not having any issues. Thanks in advance ❤️
How, how are possibly getting those sorts of frame rates on that hardware? Extremely hard to believe.
I'm on a 4080 Super and with DLSS performance, frame generation on and ray tracing off entirely, I'm struggling to get over 80 fps at absolute best at 1440p - regularly well below - and bizarrely almost no better at 1080p or even 720p.
What like 12GB yet it still goes over 16GB lol when FULL RT on
Impressive because I never imagined a game needing over 16GB of vram this early
Because it's a id Tech game. First id Tech engines used OpenGL and Vulkan is an evolution of that. id Tech 7 currently supports only Vulkan on PC.
This most recent update seemed to have screwed the game even more. DLSS and FG doesn't even seem to work half the time, and the VRAM issue is out of control. This game is beyond simple VRAM "demand" it is not optimized. There is something else with the game outside of the textures themselves that's draining so much VRAM out of systems. Compared to some of the other ID tech games like DOOM eternal and Wolfenstein 2, this game doesn't really look that much better for how it runs. The RT is really carrying it.
This is an Nvidia sponsored game as well, and it wouldn't be the first time that Nvidia has had games gimped to upsale their products, and in this case their overpriced GPUs of the recent years. It would be a shame if you guys caved into money, and this is why the game is so "demanding". No GI option to turn off RT, missing graphics options to tune performance, broken graphics, etc. Its pretty telling to be honest.
Exactly, same thing here, around 20GB used on a 4090. People want to play with full PT on a low budget 4080 or lower, that's simply unrealistic. This game needs a GPU of atleast 20GB
Man, AI troll farms have come far. This almost reads like english at this point.
