Help with HDR settings

I'm a bit confused about the HDR settings. I'm not entirely sure how to adjust them properly. It somehow seems too bright and too dark at the same time, Does anyone have some tips on how to optimise HDR for this game? Someone said about peak brightness, what does this mean and how do I find this info?

My MONITOR is a ROG Strix XG279Q

Currently my settings are:
Peak White 1200
Brightness 25
UI brightness 268

Personal preference the three pictures they give for examples is for you to adjust those settings to where you want them. It's person choice not everyone wants the same.

Peak white : your display max nits. Just go into your windows settings if you don't know that.
Brightness : adjust to preference.
