DLSS and HDR causing visual noise?
I really want to play this game with maxed out settings but for some reason if have both DLSS and HDR on it causes these sparky dots to appear all over the screen. I heard this was a bug that was patched near the release of the game so I'm not sure why it's still affecting me. If I have DLSS with no HDR there's no issue but I want the game to look vibrant and if I play with HDR without DLSS I have very low FPS since I'm playing with pathtracing.

Does anyone have any solutions? I've upgraded to the most recent drivers and I've fiddled with settings as well as restarting my PC but it looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and play the game with compromised visuals.

Use RTX HDR.

There is no solution to this yet.

DLSS is not max settings, that's a visual cheat. How about not using DLSS the way I don't use FSR.

Nothing you said is relevant to the OP. What video card are you using?

Same, I think it the same for everyone atm until its patched.
The comment by eNkel was very useful thank you very much for that I didn't know RTX HDR was a thing and it worked for the most part. I still get some visual noise in the sky for some reason but it's far far better than it looked with the in-game HDR so again thanks.

To Sigma957, I have a 4090 with a I9-13900k and without any DLSS (even with frame gen) the game ran somewhere between 30-40fps. Granted, that was in the first jungle area which is especially intensive but DLSS grants too much performance gain for such little loss to image clarity that I don't see why I wouldn't use it.

To buckiesmalls, yeah I was under the impression that it was fixed due to a lot of forums online saying so I have no idea why DLSS and HDR is still broken together for us.

well I used dlss swapper and that one told me Baldurs Gate 3 uses a really old version of DLSS so its no surprise its noisy... replaced it and what a surprise... image looks quite a bit better. As for HDR... I never use it cause I have to natively enable it in the windows settings and windows it self looks ugly AF with HDR enabled...
