Full 4K / 3840x2160, no Frame Gen.
Added it also above, but tbh I highly doubt the resolution has and influence on this. This is a major bug or to be precise: A variant of the countless reported bugs others have (crashing, black scre4en, FPS drops, DLSS performance issues...).
Not had any freeze or crashes at all. Oh, 11 - 23H2 here.
Interesting combo. Why the studio driver? Any advantages?
Intel is a whole other story of course. Still interesting though.
Thx for the info. Tried that also (see original post mentioning it).
Got some detailed settings you’re using?
Like Windows, don't rush updates...
I nearly refunded the game over this issue, but I found this work around. I'm using frame generation, path tracing, and DLSS Quality on my 4080 Super. The trick to getting better latency since you can't use "ultra" low latency mode is to use the in-game frame rate limiter to HALF of your desired frame rate when using frame generation. If not using frame generation, set the in game limiter to the desired level.
Cut scenes will render without frame gen at half the refresh rate (the on set in the game menu); but you can find the GreatCircleFix mod to enable frame gen in the cutscenes.
Even then, frame generation is really buggy.
I’d agree under regular circumstances.
With the dedicated driver published with the exact game we’re talking about, I simply expect both companies to make 100% sure, that the actual highest tier of hardware, the only hardware capable of using all settings maxed with decent FPS, is supported and working without issues.
But I agree: No early adopter mentality needed, better wait and see what othered experience.
Thx.
Ultra LL Mode is always turned off, added even a specific profile for the game and turned it off within, just to make sure:)
Btw: I never use Frame Gen under any circumstances. Frame Gen (in my opinion) is cancer and just fake frame rendering with high lag addition, bringing only an artificial feeling of smooth gameplay.
I highly suggest turning that off.
But it is necessary to reach 30fps in some cases and make the game playable!
I feel it's our responsibility as consumers to purchase more expensive hardware and make use of all the features in order to get the best out of a poorly developed game we don't even truly own. After all, developing games is a real job, playing them isn't. How lazy of us

VERTEX --> This is clearly a VULKAN-related issue then.
Right now I've given up for the moment, I just can't get it to run with proper settings, and I'm not willing to downgrade all settings on a high end PC just because the game is broken with all those superwell marketed features (RT/PT etc.).,
MG really needs to get this ironed out asap!
btw: Could you please post a screenshot of the console warning "allocating unmoveable vertex"? I don't get any message before / while freezing, I just can't do anything as soon as it's frozen. Even the console can't be scrolled of closed.
It states nothing special while the freeze happens.
