HELP, BEEN STUCK 2 HOURS | Sewer Pipe Whip
During the "Find the Palace Entrance" Mission, I figured out you have to move across pipes, up, to the side, etc.

Finally, I make it to the whip jump in the sewer. Tried 50+ times now, every time I end up in the water. I've tried accelerating using special keys, I've tried climbing up the rope at all different spots and still, after 2 damn hours, I cannot pass the level.

I am on PC. I've seen videos of people make the jump, yet every time I try myself I end up plopped in the water. Please, if anyone knows what I'm missing, help.

This took me a little bit too. You have lots of time to swing. Use L trigger and the down stick to get to the lowest part of the whip, and swing back and forth to build up speed, then jump at before the peak of the arc.

get all the way out on the pipe, aim properly at the pipe do the swing and well, that's it.

I've done this, at the bottom of the rope, maximum swing, etc. I always almost clip through the opposing pipe and fall.

i HAD THE SAME ISSUE TRYING FOR OVER 2 HOURS TO CATCH THE SEWER PIPE, I WAS PLAYING AT 20 TO 25 FPS WITH ULTRA DETAILS. I TRIED ALL THE OTHER TRICKS ABOVE AS WELL WITH NO LUCK. I WAS SIMPLY NOT SWINGING AS HIGH AS THE VIDEOS POSTED ONLINE SHOWED. i REDUCED THE DETAILS LEVELS TO BUMP MY FPS OVER 40 FPS AND MAGICALLY i WAS SWINGING BETTER AND HIGHER WITH THE WHIP AND MADE IT THE VERY NEXT ATTEMPT. GIVE THIS A TRY. IT MADE OTHER MOVES AND JUMPS MUCH EASIER WHEN PLAYING AT THE 40 FPS. i GUESS IT IS TIME TO UPGRADE THE VIDEO CARD...

I'm on a PC as well. What worked for me was landing just to the right of the vertical pipe. There is a horizontal one there that can be stood on before having to jump then grab the vertical pipe. I found it helped to go lower on the whip.

For me this is the moment where I figured out that swings are freely controlled, they're not one-swing-and-let-go. Just stay on the whip and swing back and forth until the direction and swing are right, then jump off.
It's easier when you whistle the IndianaJones melody while swinging.
