FPS Won't Go Above 81
Honestly, the performance of this game baffles me. In fact, it baffles me more than any game I've ever played. I have absolutely no issues with any other game and most games I can max out at 1440p and get 120+ fps, I'm on a 4080 Super (on the latest drivers), 32GB RAM, a 12900K, and this infuriating game just performs like crap regardless of what in game settings I select.

Something that tells me there's a weird issue straight away is that DLSS makes absolutely no difference to this bizarre frame rate cap. Off? 81 fps. Performance? 81 fps. Native TAA? 81 fps.

It's just such a weird game from a performance perspective and I've barely got 10 minutes in yet because every time I fire it up I'm instantly put off and irritated by how illogically it runs.

Same here. 80 fps no matter what I do. My CPU and GPU go no higher than 70% usage, but my frame rate is locked to 80.

It's the ray tracing. Turning off gets you above 120fps easy.
I hope you mean with path tracing because I have no issue with 120+, without even using frame gen... at 4k.
Turn off low latency in Nvidia control panel. (you cant disable it ingame)
Add indiana Jones in NVCP and there you can turn it off for only 1 game.

After i turned it off my FPS jumps 20-40 FPS higher + i got 0 stutter issues.
If that doesnt help, try Nvidia 566.14. (566.36+Hotfix got some problems)
Works like a charm for me

4k (4096x2160) Supreme DLSS Qual. + RT/PT Max 80-120 FPS (normally 90-110) with a 4090 + 14700K

It seems like it's a glitch with some settings based on what some people said. I just will add that when you keep the same frame rates regardless of lowering settings or resolutions, it's a sign of being CPU limited. Not saying it's in this instance but worth being mindful of.

In this case its not a CPU bottleneck.
My 14700K needs only 30-40% performance. 12900K should be fine.
Its just a problem with FG and low latency. A lot of ppls got this problem since release.
+ a few problems with HDR and DLSS. (a few less FPS. i use both and its still good)

with a 4080 in 1440P he should easy reach 120 FPS with Supreme settings without low latency. (with RT/PT and FG)

Low latency is the biggest problem i think. (Crash, stutter issues and lower FPS)
OR the newest Nvidia driver. 566.14 works for a lot of ppls way better.

Whatever recent update they did killed the ability to play more than 1 min before it goes to SH*T... Unplayable and no setting adjustments matter.. this after playing just fine for about 8 hours..recent patch/update and now unplayable...
