Maybe not GPU, but it is your PC which freezes/crashes.
I'd suggest the OP tries a different HDMI cable (ensuring it meets the most current spec).
So more importantly, check the system log and the application log for the reasons for the crash.
But in your case your "Brand new high end pc 3 days old" goes down, so it might have some issues itself.
Hence the suggestions to stress test the HW to be sure that it is stable under heavy load.
Have you checked the system and application logs? Because your reply makes no sense in the context of the call to check them. Have you actually done it, for the timestamps the issue occured?
