Child's Play Mystery Glitch

Is anyone else having the issue where the first clue to the Child's Play mystery in Sukhothai is not spawning? There is a "note" icon hovering in the water right where the first bottle is supposed to be but there is nothing there to pick up. This means I can only find 18/19 mystery notes and only a 96% completion. I would really love to know if anyone else has run into this and found a solution because the lack of 100% is going to drive me crazy.

As far as I remember I've reloaded save each time and from the X try I achieved this. But this is really annoying and should be fixed, so please report to devs.

I was having that problem, but found it at the bottom of the stairs, at the base of the pylon just to the front-right of you as you're facing *away* from the stairs. It wasn't floating, it was apparently underwater, but if you point there, you should be able to highlight and grab it (if it works for you like it did for me).

For me I was looking at the wrong stairway.
I found it at the bottom of the stairs by the old man, Sunan.

I was able to find a work around. If you find any of the other bottles, it should start the quest up. The closest one should be in a tree near the rice paddies.

EDIT: I FOUND THE BOTTLE! It actually is brushed up aside the wall closest to the stairs. Just keep looking and it should be there!

If the archivist achievement doesn't pop then use the glitch workaround. Basically, go back to the Vatican to the Jesus mural and take all the hint pictures. If that doesn't work then go the fountain puzzle and take all pictures of that. Then the achievement should pop!

I was able to find the bottle. After walking down the stairs it was forward and to the right amongst the poles that support the walkway above. It must have been kicked there earlier in the game. Crouch down with your lighter and search every nook and cranny until you find it.

Please help me! In my case, the bottle has sunk to the bottom of the river, and no matter what I do, I can't get it back! Is there a solution? Because of this one child's prank, I haven’t been able to complete it!

Found a solution on Reddit. Turn on the high contrast mode and use that to look around for where the bottle floated off too. Mine ended up floating under the walkway and into a corner to the point I could not see it without the outline.
