So that's a NO on the ray tracing then..
Currently running the game in 4k maxed out with a AMD 7800x3d and a 4080 SUPER. And for some reason whenever i turn on my ray tracing my fps drops from 140 avg to 25..Now I know RTX makes things tougher but god dayum I wasn't expecting such a huge drop.

Is it just me or anyone else having this problem at the moment , and is there a possible fix for it ?

The fix is to enable DLSS+FG.

They completely broke DLSS and FG.

The games locations, such as the vatican courtyard blow up even the strongest pc's with full ray tracing. Game needs ray reconstruction to handle the workload many of the environments in this engine call for.

They also need to fix the bugs with frame gen/DLSS/Path tracing. It's very wonky to begin with and disables FG for no reason at times, really tanking performance to unplayable states.

I'm on a 4080 Super as well and got tired of trying to make path tracing work at a decent framerate. I opted for setting graphics to Supreme, DLAA, and Pathtracing off and just locked the game at 120 FPS. Zero issues with performance after doing that and it looks great.

1440p supreme, DLSS quality, FG on, full PT. Game looks and plays great.

I did what CronoEdge did and zero crashes after that. Game still looks really good even without the Pathtracing

It also depends on the level you are in. The jungle locations are the worst because its harder to trace against so much foliage.

Game is always using Ray Tracing. It cant be turned off, only the "quality" can be changed.

Some quick fixes:
Change from DLSS too TA and back too DLSS
Turn OFF FG, restart game, Turn FG back on (advisable to restart game)
Anytime you mess with HDR, repeat the FG "fix" above.

It's not raytracing reflections or/and raytracing AO or shadows, it's FULL pathtracing. And YES demanding as hell

7800X3D + 4070 ti Super, WQHD, Ultra setting, full Pathtracing, DLSS balanced + FG, no problems ~120 FPS.

Only cost ist DLSS smearing and the overall Problem with the ugly npc faces.
