Crashes to Desktop
My specs to begin with:

Corei7 Sandy Bridge (I'm guessing this is the possible problem as processor is very old now?)
16GB DDR3 RAM
2TB SSD
6750XT 12GB GPU

Gets to the menu but after starting a new game it crashes to the desktop every time.

I've tried all the suggestions regarding the crashing and I was hoping with the second patch it would be resolved but unfortunately not looks like I need to upgrade very soon.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super
AMD Radeon RX 6600
Intel Arc A580
8 GB of VRAM (11GB ifd you want Path Tracing)

The minimum requirements apart from the VRAM and RT cores are pretty meaningless - Indiana Jones runs great on a i5-10600K or a Ryzen 1600X. Apparently some people played it on AMD FX CPUs as well and 4th gen Intel.
/edit: The actual minimum requirements are Intel 4th gen i-series and AMD FX-series because FMA instructions are needed

@leemar1978:
I have a second system with an i5-2500K/16GB/RTX2060 and the game starts without problem and runs fine-ish (6GB VRAM is the bottleneck) - until the first ingame cutscene with the branch. There it crashes without fail.

But maybe its the newest Nvidia drivers, they seem to have problems with crashing.

I get black screen then something about my video memory- I got the the new driver from Nvidia but now it does not even show the menu - as i wanted to start over instead of continue- playing for 2 hours- using Game Pass on PC- was hoping I could stream it tonight- but can't.. Spent hours with a friend trying to figure it out?

If anyone has answers let me know- will update bios but friend thnks that will not make a diference- I also have 6 instead of 8 of Vram- does that really matter? Why would it work for 2 hours and then I can't get back in.

It also says to go into safe mode, that also does not matter- or when I say no to safe mode?
I like the game, glad i did not purchase it-
...not only the cpu is too old, another problem is the fact that you use DDR 3 RAM. The whole config is very weird.

This game requires FMA instructions for cutscenes.
You may start it with SDE emulator. I made a .bat file to automate the launch, I could post it if you're interested.

Later when you have a working save you can start the game natively and then attach SDE to it. It will drop fps significantly like from 70 to 40 fps but it's still pretty playable. I have nVidia GPU and there's PureDark framegen mod which works OK for me and brings fps up to 60 with emulator on Ivy Bridge 6c12t CPU, don't know if it will work on AMD GPU.

DDR3 is not the problem here and this midrange and cheap setup is still pretty good.
I have DDR3 too and with Xeon in 4 channel mode it shows read and write speeds like 52-55 Gb/s which is close to DDR4 speeds.

Thanks for the info regarding FMA, it is only available since Haswell (Intel 4.gen) and AMD FX series.
I would be interested in the bat file!
