Binoculars makes my game crash

I'm supposed to use the binoculars to obsever the blimp, but every time I try the game crashes to desktop. I can go around the vatican no problem and the game never crashes otherwise. I've been stuck on this cutscene with the nun for days, and can't progress any further. The drivers are up to date and I've even tried to lower my setting to the minum. Nothing seems to work

Have you tried to verify the files on steam?

I actually just fixed it. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the game.
