Cipher Machine puzzle, sheesh

I just have to gripe.

I ended up needing to use the hint system to fudge past this puzzle because none of the first few hints told me the SINGLE thing I needed to know to complete it (which I got from Googling game guides): you have to close the lid of the cipher machine to rotate the disks. The hitbox for the lid close handle is like 2 pixels tall and I worked on this puzzle for half an hour and never once hovered over it to see that closing it was possible-- nor do any of the hints mention it.

I assumed when I had the disks in the correct order the button would change from "remove/swap" to rotate disk, but that never happened, I tried tons of different orders then eventually figured the puzzle was just bugged. Hope this helps someone else.

Even worse! I spend a half hour on this dumb puzzle, and like 20 seconds later in the cutscene the Nazis enter the SAME ROOM by just kicking in a door from outside. I thought the locked door was supposed to lead to a vault! Not just... a room with windows and doors to the outside! Ridiculous.

The stupid part of the cipher "puzzles" is that the correct "word" is not what is displayed in the "window" but of course the row Below that you cant see until opening it again. Idiotic.
