Character stuck after getting the key from Giuseppe (A Savage Discovery)

I knocked Giuseppe out and took the key from him. During Indy's monologue while inspecting the key, I might have pressed X again (not sure), but somehow I got myself into the situation where I couldn't leave the inspection mode and the UI was gone.
I restarted the most recent checkpoint, which is right at the door to the room where Giuseppe was, but Indy is completely stuck. I can turn and punch, but that's it. No moving, no map, no satchel, nothing.
Restarting the game doesn't help, I end up in the same situation. Please tell me there's something I can do about that.
