Why no FSR 3.1 Frame Generation?!
Just wondering why such a modern demanding AAA release doesn’t have the option to enable AMD frame gen?

I have a 3080Ti and combining DLSS 2 with FSR 3.1 frame generation has been really helpful on Sony first party game releases.

Why are Microsoft lagging behind?

i tried fsr frame gen in cod black ops 6 and the input lag is brutal, is it better for low fps games?
They wrote in the first patch notes that support for AMD FSR will come in a future patch:

It was noticeable in spiderman but far from unplayable. Indy of course is a much slower moving game just would greatly benefit from the feature.
inputlag, stuttering, tearing on Freesync/Gsync.
Still good on my 4K 60Hz TV...

Their FSR 3.1 implementation is subpar in terms of supported SDK features. FSR Frame Gen cannot be used with Native AA (no scaling) or combined with XeSS upscaling. So, FSR Frame Gen is not decoupled from the upscaling method as per AMD FSR 3.1 SDK guidelines and recommendations. Also, you cannot use in-game V-Sync when FSR Frame Gen is enabled. Finally, FSR Native AA is unavailable (same for XeSS Native AA).
If you are on nvidia 20-30 series, just use Nukem9's dlssg-to-fsr mod to replace the in-game FSR frame generation, I combined this mod and used the pt_supportVRAMMinimumMB_Nvidia command to bypass the game's VRAM limit and got full Path Tracing working on my 3080 10g, and running 60-100fps at 1440p with DLSS performance Ray Reconstruction, the graphics quality looks amazing with Path Tracing.
