Stuck in Lost in the Past: Find Out What's Happening quest

Please see the attached image.

I'm stuck in Indy's lecture hall - Brody does not let me out of the room. I think I'm supposed to place the pendant on the free spot on the desk, but I don't have the pendant in my inventory. Weirdly, I do have two identical Machu Picchu stones instead.

Is there anything I can do here to continue the story? Thanks.

Update: the problem was resolved by reloading the most recent savegame. Upon entering the room again, I found a golden pendant on the side of the desk nearest the window.

Thanks, I got the same issue. Reloading makes it show on the desk :)
