Will My System Work - New To PC Gaming
The only other thing I've done with Steam is MSFS, but nothing like Indiana Jones. My CPU is below specs but I need to know if it will still work.
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6900K CPU @ 3.20GHz, 3201 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)

Also, I'm running an RTX 3080 Ti and I know nothing about Raytracing other than having heard the term for years. Any help would be appreciated. I need to know if I should just go out and get an Xbox X and be done with it.

Your proc supports AVX2 and other newer instruction set extensions so I think it should be fine.
I appreciate the info. This is my video editing machine that was built by someone else. I really should keep up with the technical part, but I'm just a video jockey. We've talked about rebuilding it with a new board, the latest i9 and a 4090, but I've switched mostly to the M3 Macbook Pro for my production work.

Yup you should be good. You should be able to use RT, but turn if off it causes framerate issues.

Don't need a 4090 for video production. Someone trying to upsell you hard.

That was my choice. It was for the possibility of getting into PC gaming, etc. I may still do it if I can get into PC games. I'm a console guy, but my Daughter is hounding me to switch.

PC gaming isn't about paying the most money possible to play games :)
13620h 6p 4 e @ 4,7 all p and 3,5 all e
64gb ddr5 5200mhz
4070 8gb mobile

did run max aside from textures in medium due to crashing on vram in 1080p natively running.

if your cpu will hold up you can exspect 1080p+ maxed out in 60 FPS i think.

But if I spend as much as possible, I feel guilty enough that I will actually take time to sit and play to get my money's worth. Im weird. ;-)

If you are new to PC gaming, this site is going to be your best friend to determine if your system can handle any specific game:

You'll run the game just fine because my specs are lower than yours and I have no problem running the game! 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700K with a GeForce RTX 3080 10GB.

Your processor is insanely faster than his.

I have a 10 year old i5 4790k with 16gb of DDR3 (lol) and a stock 3070 and can get a steady 60fps @ 1440p so the OP is good imho.

If I was you, I would keep the graphic card but I would change the processor
I don't recommend buying this game. Many people with high end rigs, including myself, experience massive stuttering when using DLSS. If you're not bothered by this, then by all means, shell out $70 for a game that will potentially have massive stuttering issues.

Since when is 12700K lower spec than a 6900K?

But I agree it should be ok, I played it with a 9700K and RTX 2070 (8GB) and was getting around 70FPS at 1080P on game recommended settings.

They seem to have been very conservative on the minimum CPU specs for some reason.
