Cannot let go of ledge in Sukhothai Hidden Pyramid

Just after defeating the snake with the spear throwing, I have reached a progression blocking bug. after climbing a bit I cannot let go of the ledge to drop down to the path below. Nothing happens when I try. I've verified in walk-through videos that you are supposed to be able to drop down from this ledge, but it won't work for me. I've tried reloading checkpoint, restarting the game, travelling to another region and back, nothing works. If anyone knows a workaround, please help me out. This is very frustrating and it would suck to have to quit playing the game for something so stupid.

False alarm, my control key broke lol
