Problem with traveling to previous locations - chapters restart

I have weird problem - when I travel to the previous locations, everything in this chapters are restarted, like I was there for the first time. I am in Sukhothai now, I found "the serpent's chest" mission, so I travelled back to Vatican - and I have the cutscene of Antonio wakeing me up and giving the priest uniform etc. Everything that I already found was untouched - money, medicines, every photo spot etc (I could get it once again). In my Journal everything is OK but in the game everything is restarted. The same in Giza. When I travelled to Marshall College, I woke up again after beating from Locus and I didn't even have my journal yet, so I had to go through the beginning once again. The problem is that every door that I walked through are locked once again, so I cannot go to the place where the key to the serpent's chest is. Fast travel in Vatican is blocked, I don't have the key to sewers.
Did anyone encountered problem like this? What is the solution?
I can move to Sukhothai and everything is ok, I can continue the story. But moving back restarts the locations, I tried multiple times.

I have the same problem except now my journal pictures are all blank, have you found any solution?

Same problem. I'm stuck in Gizeh and I cannot take the map from Nawal Shafiq as I already have it on my inventory and the Chaper restarted without a reason. I cannot continue the game :( Literally broken at this point.

Have exactly the same problem. I posted about it a few weeks ago and had no replies so shelved the game for now as I don't want to start from the beginning.

Same problem here. Also stuck in Nawal tent, Vatican can't access Catacombs to finish Serpent Chest.

Same issue for me when trying to 100% game after completing story.

I have the same issue. Can't complete the game 100% because of this bug.

Keep walking into saving area's. In the Giza its the blue tent, some temples or villages, if you see the indy hat loading icon, it means its saving. Press Escape to see last checkpoint <less then a minute ago.

For the college, ive manually read every item. And walked around to be sure. Eventually it worked, goes for other chapters as well.
