Game keeps freezing, ingame audio will still play, needs Task Manager inorder to close game

9 Hours in. The game worked perfectly fine until then. Once I got to the second giant boss fight (when you find the cat statue), the game will just freeze mid fight.

Do you have an error in the windows log after the hang? I recently had freezes, but in the Himalaya location, the picture also hung in the cut scene, but the sound was there. I had to complete the process through the dispatcher, there was an error nvlddmkm in the log in the system tab. In general, something has to do with the nvidia driver, and yes, you are playing without the xmp profile. I recently had failures due tobecause of this, I thought for a long time about what, it turned out that it was necessary to manually raise the timings and voltage a little on RAM, but I don't know if this failure is related to RAM or still to the driver, or is it just an accident

Seemed to fix mine by resetting my overclock on my GPU. Haven't had a hangup in hours now.

I didn't see any error messages after the fact. The only message that will pop up is when I run the game again and asks me if I want to run in safe mode.

To clarify, I did set my xmp profile for my ram, but my motherboard is limited to 2666. My ram is rated higher, but i only found out about the limitation after the fact.

I also kinda doubt it's a driver issue because the game was running fine before and I had the latest one installed throughout that time.

I don't know how to manually overclock or set voltage for the ram, but if I think about wanting to boot the game again, I'll look into it more.
