Similar games/open world with puzzles
First time I’ve played a game like this, I’m more of a souls gamer but I’m enjoying Indy. Are there similar games around?
I like the semi open world aspect and the puzzles. I’ve tried Tomb Raider 2013 but it’s a bit too scripted and linear in areas.

Are there any other games people recommend? I’ve been eyeing up The Outer Wilds?

I just mentioned them in another thread.

Star Wars: Outlaws. Loaded with puzzles and stealth missions.

It's basically a more expansive version of The Great Circle.

Hogwarts Legacy.

Puzzles.

---

Just don't play the game that is supposed to be about puzzles.

Frogwares' Sherlock Holmes games.

They suck the big one.

Thank you. I’ll check out those. I hear outlaws had its problems but I’ll watch some gameplay vids.

Hogwart's was pretty good, it's also quite different from something like this or Tombraiders. It did have some puzzles as sides, where they were like a series of a theme. They're fairly causal but enjoyable.

There were also, however, a couple (optional) hidden room puzzles that are probably very difficult for most people to figure out on their own without oodles of trial and error etc.

Assassin’s Creed Origins had some fun puzzle solving in Pyramids.

Fun fact: even taking place nearly two thousand years ago the Pyramids were already ancient - thousands of years old - in AC Origins. In fact the Pyramids were further in the past to when AC Origins takes place than AC Origins is to us! And AC Origins takes place ~40 to 50 BC!

———

Anyway to your question…Indiana Jones and Assasin’s Creed games scratch a similar itch: History, exploration and puzzle solving. AC games have more combat though and more intense combat.

I’ll second Star Wars Galaxies. Great game! Of course it takes place in a fantasy/scifi setting but if you enjoy that, and especially if you like Star Wars itself, it’s really great.

Hogwarts Legacy was a good game too if you’re a fan of the source material. I’m a casual/moderate fan of several movies (haven’t seen them all) and I enjoyed HL.
