An unexpected gem.
I did not want this game before it was released. It took watching an 8-hour YouTube playthrough to convince me to buy it. It's certainly better than I had expected.
The exact same thing happened to me with two other games that I didn't want.
Star Wars: Outlaws and Hogwarts Legacy.
Don't listen to the liberals that come here and spread lies about DEI. All three of these games are good.
If you like puzzles, do yourself a favour and play Star Wars: Outlaws. The game is not at all what I thought it would be. It's not a shooter. It's a puzzle-infested, stealth adventure.
Same with Hogwarts, but recommending that game is kind of stupid because the entire world has already played it.
It'd be like asking people if they've ever played Clash of Clans.
Gaming as a medium is slipping into "uncool" territory extremely quickly.
Pretty cool that so many people are hailing it as a personal all time classic. Machinegames have to be given a sequel.
Lucasfilms loves it and the positive reception(87 on Metacritic, 92 on OpenCritic and 90 on steam) it has received from critics and fans alike so expect multiple sequels.
"Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is out and better than anyone hoped it could ever be, but Lucasfilm Games already reckons more Indy games could be ‘super interesting’ to see.
Bethesda and Machine Games' first crack at an Indy story went over smoother than expected - even our Indiana Jones and the Great Circle review had glowing praise for the game and Harrison Ford himself publicly called out the ‘great’ work that went into it - so, good news: there might be more whip-cracking misadventures ahead.
…But the company is still thinking about what's next. ‘I think we're always looking for great stories,’ Reilly said. ‘And the good news is, there's a lot of space in between the films where we could tell more and more Indiana Jones stories that I think would be super interesting."
This is it. It genuinely feels like the awesome 4th movie we never got.
Thanks for the tip. I'll give this one a try.
