Als, there is no external help for puzzles when the setting is on the highest level. Which is medium, actually, so there is no harcore level in this category. But I still had fun with most of the puzzles, also because there is a good variety in different kinds of them in this game. That is, only few repetitions, so that one had to think of the proper way to solve them every time anew.
Once you gain your companion however, she tends to spoil nearly every one by blurting out "suggestions" long before you've even scoped out the puzzle environment.
When you are on your own, it has satisfying gameplay.
This is not true, Gina did not help with any of the puzzles. Or maybe you confuse what actually can be considered to be a puzzle. In the one case where she makes the suggestion to use the amulet to open a door: this is not a puzzle, because once Indy gets close to that door there is only one possible action: press X and then he inserts the amulet. So this and other similar cases where Gina might give some hints of where to go next are not real puzzles.
Wow, this game sounds like the devs think the player base are idiots.
