Game Breaking Bug when revisiting

I finally got the breathing device in Thailand, so I decided to revisit the Vatican, Egypt and Shanghai in order to get the serpent key. Unfortunately, when I decided to go back to the story, the game brought me back in the fighting pit in Thailand, with Indy wearing its normal clothes. Because I am inside the pit area, I cannot change in the fascist costume and can no longer exit the fighting pit area because opening the door require this costume. I am stuck there, with no way to get out.

Same here. Traveled back to Vatican and the progress is from the start. I should follow Antonio, but than I am stucked in the alchemy lab with the skeleton (cant progress from there). If I dont go there, I am not able to enter Museum as the doors are locked. Cant do anythng more tbh to progress the game :(

yeah, i think the bug began with the quest for the 3 keys..
i finished the game and need revist gizeh and vatikan for the key

what is exactly bugged??

When I revisit the Vatican or any area, those areas are reset. It loads me in as if I just started the area. Examples being when I revisit the college, it's starts when Indy is waking up by Marcus after being choked out by lucos. The Vatican starts with Antonio dancing in his office and Gizah starts with Gina telling me we have to find the workers tent. Both areas maintain previous completed quests so I can't progress to finish certain things such as get the keys for the serpents chest quest or get back into the museum wing of the Vatican to complete A Date To Remember.

Nothing can progress because it won't let me pick things up, such as the map for Gizah to start the area or cresinzos diary to trigger A Nun in Trouble. The museum wing is locked and the excavation site is inaccessible due to previously being in there and completing the"main story" to the area.

I was finally able to continue the game... the solution is to quit the game completely... and restart it... I tried this 2 or 3 times, and Indy was now wearing the fascist costume in the fighting pit. So I was able to exit the pit and continue.

You saved my game!
Happened to me but I was in the fighting pit of Gizah. Went back to Vatican so I could get more money to buy the books of the fighting pit.
