Waited for weeks after somehow fast-travelling into this cave in Gizeh (the one with a closed door at one end, an overhead shaft at the other end, and a crack of light in the middle shining on a skeleton) at the lower-left area of the great pyramid. While I waited for someone to hopefully post an answer, I decided to continue the game in different fast-travel locations, but every time I came back to Gizeh, I was still in this cave.
The only way I was able to get out was to:
1. Install the WeMod trainer app (See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmAsZXu_bXg&t=26s for reference.)
2. Map a key-binding for NoClip (basically gives you the ability to "fly/float" around map using your existing movement keys/method.
3. You'll need to start your game from within the WeMod app to enable the NoClip ability.
4. Once in your problem area (like this nasty cave), toggle on the NoClip using the key-binding you set beforehand, and IMMEDIATELY start moving upwards with your movement keys because otherwise you will sink into the map more and die.
5. Fly / float upwards until you are above ground and then keep flying until you get somewhere safe. Then you can toggle OFF the NoClip ability.
FYI: I noticed that for me, I was temporarily stuck in a crouch position and it took a while to get unstuck. Then I kept walking around until I saw the hat symbol flashing indicating that the game had updated my save slot info. At that point, I pressed ESCape to verify my save slot had just updated less than a minute ago, and decided to end the game normally so I could close it and close WeMod since I no longer needed anymore assistance. Then I just removed WeMod from memory and started up the game again normally, and resumed playing more of the Gizeh location. Hope this helps and thanks to Ion_Snake for the clue about WeMod!
