This is absurdly easy
I've disabled markers and everything else, I've turned the difficulty up to max, but I still feel like I'm just walking around and pressing keys that appear on the screen.

It doesn't even let me choose what action I'll choose, it tells me to press the D key to turn the medallion to the right, really? Leave me alone with the stupid advice. It's full of tips everywhere, so that amoebas can play and finish the game too.

I'm not asking for a serious adult puzzle adventure from the 90s, modern audiences wouldn't understand that a game is a game, that it requires effort and sometimes you win or sometimes you lose, not a movie that lasts 8 hours because you have to press buttons following the indication as if you were a lab monkey. But at least let me do something by myself. Let me choose to press the damn D key to turn the medallion to the right.

Got it.

We'll put you down as another 'this game is trash'.

You're clearly far too intelligent to be in a Steam forum.

<------ Rocket science is that way.

This game is not trash because it is not even a game.

And a game is not about intelligence, it is about challenges, effort, patience, searching, thinking, solving, and finally feeling the satisfaction of completing it.

Consoles ruined PC adventures

Puzzles are not braindead simple, I don't think. And the game has a good variety in different kinds of puzzles as well. In many cases the solution is admittedly straightforward as soon as you know what you need to do. But sometimes that is not so obvious, and so it is still a challenge to find out what each puzzle is about and how it needs to be solved.

There is one puzzle in the Vatican I could not even solve, yet. I thought I already found the solution, but it did not work for some reason. Will go back there and will look around more to find some clues.

I do not understand why people constantly argue that this is not a real game when it has so many different gameplay elements combined: puzzles, stealth, melee combat, fps, platforming and exploration. And not everything needs to be on a high difficulty level to enjoy a game. If you want to play a very challenging game, play ALTF4 (the game, don't press the buttons!) or Only Up! And for puzzles play a game from the Rhem series. And for combat play Nioh or something like this. And for stealth: Desperados 3 or Shadow Tactics.
But if you want to play a game with all these different types of genres combined with a good story: play this game!

Ok, I'll give it another chance and see if it improves.

Haha, I'm curious to see it. It's a shame, but since current "players" are happy just watching interactive movies, nothing will change.

It's made for a lowest common denominator, nonhardcore, gamepass, game streaming type audience.

? This failed badly. Cheaply made indie game "Miside" that came out a day later has the same number of average players. Lol.

It's a game for the mythical "Modern Audience" what did you expect? Absurd handholding is part of the job. It's the same bs they did with GoW - Ragnarök i.e..
Oh noes. Anyway...

Everything is insanely easy on the hardest settings. You can kite everyone, knocking them all out one by one in the busiest of areas till you have a massive stack of bodies, then walk 6 feet around a corner where 20 more guys are completely blind deaf and dumb to the war going on 6 feet away.

You can shoot someone with the machine gun and the guy on the other side of the cloth wall doesn't notice. You can knock people out in doorways and they just line up at the body to be knocked out in turn while you take a rest between each.

The puzzles are square peg in square hole level of challenging. The single Water Temple in the Ocarina of Time is harder than all the puzzles in the entire game.

This is Tomb Raider for children who ate too much paint and glue as toddlers.

There's a that many busted and glitched journal notes, photos, etc, in Sukhotai that if the game was actually difficult i would've been gutted once i realised i couldn't get the 100%

even disabling the markers really do not disable them

Puzzles are "not" too simple. As an example, this Youtuber here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnifamCFQwE&list=PLQOw0ZaH-Xiq8Nj2oTeXBl6-NBy4fRcaY&index=3
needed 8 minutes to solve the puzzle with the wheels in the Vatican (start video at 3:44:00, but don't watch if you don't want to get spoiled). I think this shows that the level in difficulty is just fine.

And once again: Gina does "not" give hints with the puzzles (like Atreus does in GoW Ragnarok, unfortunately).

Youtuber taking time to solve a puzzle is not an argument. A lot of them are not good at video games, puzzles, or anything else.

Quotation marks are not ever used for emphasis, asterisks are.
