Problems with game save files

This game has major problems with saves, huge problems. I've already replayed it three times (after finishing the Vatican, I played for over 60 hours), and it continues to give me errors in the save files. Basically the game does not recognize the saved files and says that the save files are corrupt. I have tried everything, for example deactivating the cloud saving, activating saves only locally, activating xbox etc...
Now, the last possible way (and hope) I am doing is to reinstall everything from the beginning. After that I stop, I have exhausted my hopes.

Had the same problem where I lost my whole game progress. I am playing through Game Pass on PC. Managed to fix the issue by starting a new game and playing until the guy runs away from the bats. Then select save slot and roll back the save. You will lose some progress but not the whole thing.
