Worked the first time, can't get it to work at all now . . .

Hey all, my notebook is a Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 16ARH7 with the below spec:

CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 6800H
Memory - 32GB
BIOS - JNCN52WW(V2.12) - 10/04/2024
Graphics - Nvidia RTX 3050Ti 4GB
Storage - 2TB

I have updated Windows 11 to the latest of everything including latest audio drivers and graphics (Nvidiia 566.36)

It was a little flaky to start with but altered the video settings and it worked great yesterday (14/12/2024) for a few hours. Have come to it this morning and nothing, not even in safe mode! I'm loathed to remove and reinstall as it's 112GB in size which took a reasonable amount of time to download (even with 1GB internet connection)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You may want to try rolling back Win 11 to the previous version. The latest one is buggy and known to cause issues with games. So long as it was updated less than 10 days ago you should be able to roll it back without the need for a reinstall.

The first thing you should try is getting Steam to verify the game files though.

Thanks for the response, Have had 24H2 for a while, just general updates it has done. Can't roll back unfortunately! Have got Steam to verify the files and came back all clear. Freezes after the Lucas logo with a repetitive clicking sound.

Your gpu is vastly under the minimum requirements. You need at least 8gb of vram.

The game working the first time might have been a fluke.
