Rebreather issue

For some reason I have the rebreather in my inventory so I can't purchase it from the vendor. I'm stuck on the blessed pearl mission. 23 hours in.

First time I've played this quest it works fine. Second time it doesn't. Seams to be an issue of the last update. In this way a new start won't help.

Hmm before starting a new game, go to the game slots section of the main menu. Highlight your main save and press whatever button says to rollback the save. You'll then be given options of going back on a slightly older version of that save. Maybe one of the options is before Indy somehow acquired the re-breather. Obviously you'll have to redo some things you had already done, but it's potentially better than starting all over again, if it happens to work. Hopefully the devs can fix that issue quickly.

I have the same issue, I've tried save rollback but all it does is send my back a couple hours. Hoping for a fix soon, because I have been loving this game so far.

still waiting for a fix, I imagine there must be some console command you can type to remove the rebreather from your inventory, but have not been able to find anything online

I have the same issue with the Game Pass version. Bethesda support was no help.

Found a workaround: following a YT wakthrough I checked where to go next in the quest. Went there, interacted with the environment and from there I was able to progress the quest with the cutscenes, dialogues and puzzles all working normally. No waypoint, but it's pretty straightforward. After the last cutscene in this new location the quest objective finally updated to "Talk to Sunan". Hope this helps!

It updated to Talk to Sunan but I can't speak with him. Plus in the journal it says buy rebreather

Nvm it was still pointing at the rebreather

Thanks for this! same problem. I had the Voss gold. Went to village and talked to Sunan. Then I talked to the lady villager with they eye patch and there was an explosion and new fieldwork job in Southeast. anyway, I rolled back to just after Sunan and then went straight to buy rebreather. roll back 1 or 2 slots from the main menu and get the purchase over with and proceed.

Stuck with the same issue. I was really enjoying this game but do not have the time to start over. This is why all games should allow you to go back to the beginning of the level. I bought the rebreather when I first went to the shop before I got Voss’s gold because I had the money to do it. It never updated in journal showing I have it. Now I’m stuck and unable to progress in the Blessed Pearl mission. Bethsheda needs to fix this. This is a terrible disappointment. While I’m happy I did not pay the 70 bucks for the game since I got it on my game pass, I was going to buy it for my ps5, they are really going to lose money on this if they can’t fix it.
