Begs to question how a vpn like program can do this to a video game? What is going on in the back end of this game.
To play I have to start in safe mode and change the settings afterwards, but every time I restart the game the menu freezes.
(I have a 4070 with I9-11700K)
Game terribly optimized for RTX.....
I had this happen in two circumstances:
1) Messing with the graphics options, especially increasing texture pool size above "Medium" with full path tracing (only have 12 GB VRAM).
2) After playing for a few hours close to the VRAM limit, so likely a similar situation.
A couple of times I saw a DirectX crash dialog I could Alt+Tab to, and the other times I inspected the Windows Events and saw a graphics driver crash, so seems related.
