Any way to exit the Temple a second time?

I am currently collecting missed Artifacts, and now I am stuck in Gizeh inside the temple in which you find Ra's idol. I simply cannot exit it anymore, does anyone have a solution? What sense does it make to revisit a location if you cannot exit it anymore?

Unfortunately you have to backtrack to the entrance to exit.

That is sadly impossible, you cannot exit the way you entered, it is blocked

When you head back and reach a triangle shaped hole you cannot get through look back slightly to the left and up - there is a ledge you can jump up to which will take you back to the start.
