Because remember, its all about the bait clicks and Money.
He probably doesn't.
One of his older videos is on Mafia 3, he does not complain that you're now a member of the black mob rather than an italian white dude when he almost certainly would have if it was made now.
It's almost certainly that he likes this game too much to say it's bad but he can't actually admit it's all for money, so he has to pretend this game isn't "woke" despite literally featuring a black female leader of a resistance group in the final hub, the kind of stuff they love to complain about.
And now openly disliking games because you punch Nazis in them, which just makes it all the more obvious what actually hides behind someone who says "I hate the woke".
.......................
Personally I don't think that's entirely accurate - as I've stated before, it's quite literally one line of dialogue, spoken between friends, not openly. The person saying it is a side character who doesn't appear again, and the woman they're referring to never appears at all, it's literally one throwaway line out of 4+ hours of cutscenes. On top of that, the line is "she still loves you, you know," which yeah, probably does imply an actual relationship but is also debatable.
I'd 100% agree with you if she was running through the streets singing about it - that wouldn't fly for a second in that particular time and place. But one tiny conversation between close friends in private I think is something that could easily happen, and doesn't really imply tokenism, at least in my opinion.
Either way, I'm just splitting hairs. Glad you're enjoying the game!
Unless some update changed it, the AI does not seem to change at all. I could not tell a difference but I think maybe they got more HP. As the game go on the AI is more aggressive and willing to use firearms and more HP, this is likely effected by the difficulty as well.
The AI is horrible, but it works well enough most of the time. On very hard, for the first half of the game you can just ignore guards and kill anyone who becomes aggressive for the first half of the game. For the middle you want to hunt them out so you get a decent drop on them. For the ending you need a good strategic location, and plan, and some good weapons lined up.
Gameplay doesn't look very deep, but it looks like it'll entertain enough. The three Indy movies aren't very deep. They're entertaining enough. Not $70 maybe, but we'll see what sales happen.
The price is pretentious.
