Can't put camera away?

Ok stupid question - If I have the camera out and get into a combat situation, there seems to be no way to put the camera away without picking something else up or drawing a gun, etc. Is there some special key you have to press to make him put the camera away and return to being empty handed? I've gotten killed a couple of times because of this.

Y button on a controller will either drop or store what's in your hands.

Thanks Guys. I found opening the Satchel (Tab) and then closing it seems to work also, though in a more roundabout way .
