Indiana Jones Great Circle won't run (even in safe mode) due to newest nvidia drivers 566.36.
Hello there.

I was playing Indiana Jones And The Great Circle perfectly well on my Core i5 gaming laptop with Nvidia Geforce 3050 RTX (6GB video RAM) even thou this is slightly under the specs. I was using Nvidia drivers version 566.14.

However, last week I updaed NVIDIA drivers to version 566.36 and the game wouldn't run any more. I always got "failed to allocate video memory" upon starting the game, even on safe mode. I tried everything I found online, but nothing worked. The solution was to downgrade my Nvidia drivers to the previous version 566.14, and now the game runs perfectly again. You need to download "older" drivers from Nvidia webpage. As for settings, I play on 1080p with all settings set to "medium" except for texture size, which I set to low.

I hope this helps everyone having the same issue.

This thread shows how you can tweak a few values in the local Config file to lower the Vram usage and be able to play with the latest driver (latest is the 566.45 hotfix one at the moment), which has better performance than the older driver
