Considering the time period they were made, respectively, they are both on par.

The fact that Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis was able to stand on its own without a licence is very impressive.

Don´t you think the Last Crusade is more fun?
I wish it had the same quality voice acting like Fate of Atlantis though. =/

What do you mean "without a licence"? It was made by LucasArts.

Sorry, I meant without a tie-in.

Yeah, this was still when the writers cared about giving a good story.
Fate of Atlantis. Story-rich, Choices matter, Voice Acting. One of the best adventure games ever. Somehow I wish they'd remake it. At the same time, if its THAT good, better not touch it.

Both games are awesome. Last Crusade is way harder because you can screw up a lot of things there and it has a lot of "extra" puzzles to make Indys life easier. You can't do anything fatally wrong in Fate of Atlantis which makes the story telling much easier and better.

both are awesome and the best Indy games out there.

So the comic doesnt count as a tie-in?
Comics got released from March to September 1991. The game got released in June of 1992.

Fate of Atlantis.

The Last Crusade was the first graphic adventure I played on Amiga. Before that I had played Maniac Mansion and Zak McKracken (C64) and was a huge fan of Lucasfilm adventures. So, Crusade has a special place in my heart. It was one of the reasons I wanted a 500 at the time.

But yeah... Atlantis really was the better game.

I don't think I ever played the game of Last Crusade, but Fate of Atlantis was great in its day. They're both on GOG for $6 a piece, and I definitely recommend them if you've got any nostalgia for old 90s adventure games.

They're both on Steam, too.

^Yeah, I just like GOG more. 30 days return policy and no DRM. I try to buy from there when I can.
