Yet the older films where he has a chine kid helping him, or an older egyptian dude, or even a black captain aren;t considered woke because they are old movies?

I don't get the modern gamer mindset where literally everything made in the 2020s is woke if it features anyone who isn't a white straight dude.

Have you guys thought of actually playing games instead of moaning about them constantly?

I personally can't wait for this. probably because I actually like games, maybe one day many of the people on this board will too.

Yeah keep strawmanning and misrepresenting, that way you can always guarantee that your beliefs are true and will never be forced to truly consider and evaluate another perspective.

Since 2020 most straight white dudes in most entertainment either don't exist, are villains, are just useless fluff, or exist to be lectured about how to really do things properly by woke-approved characters.

We would love to play games made by developers that don't hate us. That don't force us to swallow their political slop as part of the EULA.

She's never going to need rescuing. She's going to be a strong independent woman who doesn't need men for anything. Most likely, she's going to despise men in general for whatever reason.

One of the biggest films that came out recently was Gladiator 2. a straight white dude cutting everyone up. OMG it had a black dude in it. but so did the original. was that "woke" too?

Conclave is also out at the moment. many straight white men deciding which straight white man should be pope.
Yes, a secondary character is black. but since the 70s most films have had diverse casts.

You would have hated movies like Aliens in the 80s. A female lead, with several black marines and the strongest marine was a female who looked like a dude.

Was Ripley "woke" in the original Alien movie? How about Haloween? was that a woke movie? Female being stalked by a serial killer who manages to get away when everyone else is murdered.

This is nothing new in film or games (broken sword for example, femals sidekick who if anything was a stronger lead than George Stobbart,) yet younger gamers seem to think it is. it's truly stupid. and everyone jumps on the bandwagon.

Noone knows anything about this game yet, but it's guaranteed to be review bombed day one because someone has a vagina.

Or last crusade. Elsa was truly a boss, and can;t get much more independent... I swear noone that's moaning about this game has ever seen the earlier films. or any films from the 70s/80s tbh.

Mostly as villains or as targets for girlbosses to humiliate and to show how useless and obsolete they are in comparison.

If you're fine with this, I suggest hoping that budgets of new stuff are below revenue from wokeies alone, because non wokeies are generally done with paying for stuff that disrespect their identity.

It's not the same, man. Yes, RIpley was a badass, but she didn't have an axe to grind against men, and she wasn't automatically the best at everything.

Also, try to imagine that every action movie from the 70s, 80s and 90s, was led by Ripley or a copy of her. No Stallone. No Bruce Willis. No Schwarzenegger. No Mel Gibson. Just Sigourney Weaver in every movie. Don't you think that people would get tired of it? That's where we are at.

That's why in recent years, whenever a game, movie or TV show comes out which has a smart, strong, masculine man in the lead, it is a hit.

By the way, this isn't a young uninformed gamer thing. I'm a 37 year old dude and I see it too. And I love the Alien's movies, btw. Got the whole thing on blu ray.
