Looks like jank.
But it's on a console and that shows. And I don't mean the graphics but the terrible, jerky camera/head movement from playing with a controller. I can't stand that, could never play that way.
So I can't wait to play it myself with mouse and keyboard in about 10 hours. (9 hours + ~30 to 40 minutes download if Steam is as "fast" as usual.) :)
It's a set-up from all the movies, which looks rather embarrassing.
The game looks as if it has been in development for 10 years and is now just finished.
Typical character modeling, with bad animations and choppy gameplay.
It's a shame, but I hope it's at least still usable for a sale.

I don't know. Some of the dudes gameplay made me cringe a bit here n there. But that can be just due to the common leaker gameplay is always like that in general. May feel different when I play it myself. But...And this is a big BUT. I can see this game not breaking ground with the general audience of gamers and non Indy fans,. Game seems quite slow.
Might put off some folk lookin for ACTION adventure. In the first level it seems like it pushes mostly stealth. And the A.i awareness is pretty trivial. I hope it bumps up and gets more challenging. Or that you can choose to go full stealth or full action. And not FORCED to do stealth all the time. the A.i though..Hope its just a difficulty setting...Cause the A.i in the New Order Wolfenstein game, has better A.i awareness than what I'm seeing in this vid..Specially making noise in such close proximity.. Or even fighting an npc while one other is a few feet away, and not even noticing the full blown tussle. With a dog even not noticing the noise from such close distance.
I'm excited to play the game as a long time Indy fan, but weary and not holding my breath. Just hoping the vibe and story is solid and not cringe like Dial of Destiny or Wolfenstein young Blood. And I wont even be bothered if others end up not liking it so much. So far as it seems right now, watching the first half of this vid. It may end up being a niche kinda game, imo. ;x
Nothing I have seen has made ME feel like refunding yet.
It just looks dated all around. the camera does nothing to help it not feel like a ball with hands and Indy's hat on. Combat looks goofy too. And normally I wouldn't judge things like that too harshly but this is the same studio with at least some pedigree from the doom series.
They want nearly 100 canadian pesos for the pleasure of this. I was excited for this at maybe half the price. But they want AAAA money for this, so they can have AAAA expectations. So this footage, despite probably being on console, just doesn't look worth it. I will wait for a steep discount when its price becomes more in line with what it's actually worth.
The comment above about it being a 10 year old game that's finally finished doesn't seem far off. I stand by it looking like Dishonoured meets Starfield face animations.
