No you aren't getting a clown award.
Gamepass is a tax on the stupid
As you said, the fanbase consists of mostly guys from the 80s, who had 40 years to get rich. I advice gimping the game so it runs at 1080p/DLSS Ultra Performance/FG/Low settings with a 4090/9800x3D. Now that sounds quite horrible, but this serves only to seperate the poor, lazy bums from the laborious workers.
Add mGPU support as a 30€ DLC - call it "The Gentleman's Expansion". With 4x 4090s and a decent 2000W PSU, the game can run at 1440p/DLSS Q/FG/60fps LOCKED tighter than Todd Howards rememberance of when he actually had talent.
When the 5090 comes out, 4x 5090 should do 4k/DLSS B/FG/60 easy too.
Now how do we optimize a game to run that well? We add a hidden map below the game world that copy/pastes everything from the game and forces path-tracing on low settings.
I paid about 84 bucks for a LEGAL key for the premium edition. It's only the fourth game I bought right at it's release this year. So that price is okay for me.
Usually I'm patient enough to wait for better offers later at some sale. There are VERY few games I want to play right away these days. ;)
Downside for some people might be that it can't be refunded, but I never cared about that anyway...
I don't have a 4090 btw.. I'm currently using an overclocked 16GB RTX 4070 Ti Super with a Ryzen 5900X and 32GB RAM. The game will be on a PCIe4 NVMe SSD and I expect it to run quite well at 1920x1200... But I'm also okay if it reaches around 60fps most of the time.
I'm sure I can play max settings some time in the future when I upgrade my system again with an RTX 50xx or 60xx card...
I still remember sneaking through Crysis with very high graphics settings and 20 to 40 fps when the game first came out in 2007. Wasn't a problem then, still isn't a problem now...
You know older people like myself not only might have more money then some kids but usually they also have a lot more patience and don't get triggered so easily. ;)
Oh that is a great value! Instead of paying $30 extra for those 3 days early access (to a SINGLE player game) you only paid $14 extra. What a savvy gamer!
And as you stress the fact that it's a Single-Player game, I'd never pay a single cent for any multi-player only game!
I loved playing multi-player on our private LAN-parties many years ago, but I have zero interest in wasting my time, playing with often toxic strangers over the internet. With the exception of the occasional Coop-game with real-life old friends, multi-player is pretty much dead to me... So I spend my money on a few select single-player games.
And since I only buy very few games at full price at their release, I don't really care much what these titles cost...
How negative do you have to be to make such a reply to this, wow. I'd feel bad for you if I had any sympathy for negative people. You sound like a manchild, not an adult.
Enjoy: <°)))))))><
Your IQ is literally too little to understand satire. Nobody cares about your sob story how you played game with weak hardware. I have a 7900XT with a 13700k.
