I don't think $70 is ENOUGH for this game
I think Microsoft should charge $100 for this prestigious game. My reasons are as follows:

1) This is a prestigious IP that commands more money than new or lesser established franchises. Admittedly, there hasn't been a decent Indiana Jones flick since 1989 - meaning every gamer 35 and under wasn't even alive the last time there was deserved hype around the series. This just means the fans that still care about Indiana Jones are old and likely have money and should be charged more

2) The addition of Denuvo was a great touch. Makes me feel better knowing that the money (preferably $100) for the game will be well spent. Some say that Denuvo slows down PCs but I don't think that will be an issue for a well-optimized game like this.

3) I really think the review embargo up until launch is a benefit for gamers. Think about the joy we will experience as we play the game for the first time, completely unspoiled by reviews (which subliminally affect your opinion of the game prior to launch). I don't even want to know if this a jank-filled unplayable optimized game, as it may ruin my genuine surprise upon first play through

4) Again, this game is published under Microsoft (Bethesda). Remember how awesome their last game, Starfield, was? What a fun, soul-filled game!!! I really enjoyed the disjointed story where I go from planet to planet, encountering 30 load screens along the way. I know Bethesda won't disappoint with Indiana Jones

In fact, I feel so strongly about this I am going to create a Kickstarter. I encourage everyone who purchases the game for $70 to donate an extra $30 to Microsoft. These donations are ear-marked specifically for Bill Gates future legal problems once the Epstein list is released. Truly a cause noble enough for this game

I hope this is all a joke!

No you aren't getting a clown award.

Then I assume you aren't donating to the Kickstarter? Bill will be disappointed... almost as much as Melinda was with him when he got back from Jeffrey's

Good advice, but the problem is that the game is too well optimized, going off by the required specs to run this game.

As you said, the fanbase consists of mostly guys from the 80s, who had 40 years to get rich. I advice gimping the game so it runs at 1080p/DLSS Ultra Performance/FG/Low settings with a 4090/9800x3D. Now that sounds quite horrible, but this serves only to seperate the poor, lazy bums from the laborious workers.

Add mGPU support as a 30€ DLC - call it "The Gentleman's Expansion". With 4x 4090s and a decent 2000W PSU, the game can run at 1440p/DLSS Q/FG/60fps LOCKED tighter than Todd Howards rememberance of when he actually had talent.

When the 5090 comes out, 4x 5090 should do 4k/DLSS B/FG/60 easy too.

Now how do we optimize a game to run that well? We add a hidden map below the game world that copy/pastes everything from the game and forces path-tracing on low settings.

Well, it's you're choice to buy games directly on Steam...

I paid about 84 bucks for a LEGAL key for the premium edition. It's only the fourth game I bought right at it's release this year. So that price is okay for me.
Usually I'm patient enough to wait for better offers later at some sale. There are VERY few games I want to play right away these days. ;)

Downside for some people might be that it can't be refunded, but I never cared about that anyway...

So I assume you're just mad you can't afford decent hardware?

I don't have a 4090 btw.. I'm currently using an overclocked 16GB RTX 4070 Ti Super with a Ryzen 5900X and 32GB RAM. The game will be on a PCIe4 NVMe SSD and I expect it to run quite well at 1920x1200... But I'm also okay if it reaches around 60fps most of the time.
I'm sure I can play max settings some time in the future when I upgrade my system again with an RTX 50xx or 60xx card...
I still remember sneaking through Crysis with very high graphics settings and 20 to 40 fps when the game first came out in 2007. Wasn't a problem then, still isn't a problem now...

You know older people like myself not only might have more money then some kids but usually they also have a lot more patience and don't get triggered so easily. ;)

Oh that is a great value! Instead of paying $30 extra for those 3 days early access (to a SINGLE player game) you only paid $14 extra. What a savvy gamer!

Actually it's more like 24 bucks, since the base game would have cost around 60. But I would never pay for 3 days earlier access. Premium edition also includes the (first) DLC so that's okay for me. That I can play over the weekend is just a nice bonus. :)

And as you stress the fact that it's a Single-Player game, I'd never pay a single cent for any multi-player only game!

I loved playing multi-player on our private LAN-parties many years ago, but I have zero interest in wasting my time, playing with often toxic strangers over the internet. With the exception of the occasional Coop-game with real-life old friends, multi-player is pretty much dead to me... So I spend my money on a few select single-player games.

And since I only buy very few games at full price at their release, I don't really care much what these titles cost...

How negative do you have to be to make such a reply to this, wow. I'd feel bad for you if I had any sympathy for negative people. You sound like a manchild, not an adult.

Your IQ is literally too little to understand satire. Nobody cares about your sob story how you played game with weak hardware. I have a 7900XT with a 13700k.

Game isn't worth more than 15$. cope

70 bucks for 13 hours? No matter how good the game is that's too much for my wallet.
