5120x1440 / 32:9. On a 49" Samsung Odyssey G9
very similar to 4K, actually by an milion pixels less, so you should be able to run the game with rtx 4080

Implementing baked lighting is an extremely time consuming process. If they chose to not do it then they will not do it going forward. Games like Avatar and Outlaws also have built in ray tracing but they are software based so you can run those games on gpus that don't support ray tracing, but this is hardware ray tracing.
Why does everyone talk like games without RT can only handle baked in lighting? Some of the best looking games from YEARS ago that still hold up look just as good or better than RT games, and they had dynamic lighting years ago. Stalker 2 does not look better than the OG Metro 2033 from 2010. It just doesn't.

I'm really just looking at the minimum requirements and I don't think they are that bad. A 2060 super or an Rx 6600 are really cheap now and they are supposed to run the game Native 1080p @60fps on low settings. Sounds pretty reasonable to me.

Why? Well, I will say that "Low setting" in a new 2024 game does not have to mean it looks ugly, it's just we don't like hearing the term "low" but remember, it's 60 fps 1080 WITHOUT upscaling on two very inexpensive gpu's.

search YT for Doom Eternal and Wolfenstein Youngblood and Rage 2 if you want to see how these gpu's handle the last 3 IdTech engine games. I bet you will be happy with the visuals they able to do at 60 fps.

I know, they are not new games but I still think those games looks good.
After all, it's not like the gfx is going to look like 90's 3d gfx.

Doom Eternal with RT on, running on a 2060 super (yes I know he is running with dlss on, it's the best example I could find). He is over 100 fps on Ultra plus RT on

https://youtu.be/Ar4Fjy1FvJM

and Given the age of Doom Eternal, I say you should expect similar visuals @60fps

The game looks incredibly good, it's like an interactive Indiana Jones movie and it's also based on the original movies. The only thing I have to say is that it doesn't have any blood, but PC modders can fix that. Today I downloaded 105GB of the game and I think it's 150GB, that's a lot for a single player FPS and I bet it looks better playing it, it must also be big to weigh so many GBs to start with.
You have to be happy, I for one will enjoy it tomorrow and I'll post my review and my comment.

Lol @ the shills giving OP Jesters. How cucked can you be to a game studio? They are coming out of the woodwork though most of them won't admit it when the game runs like trash on their rigs lol.

Um you game much? This is the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard. 1080p on Low Settings? It will be like playing the game with your head inside someone's butthole.

I'm still on a 9700F. I also only have a mere 4060 ti 16GB. I also only have 32GB of RAM when I want to stream this. This game may be unplayable for me.

That's how I usually play games.

This game seems to take quite a lot of power and even though I’m using a 4090 no way in hell I want it drawing 500 W because risk of burning up your connect port is highly possible so what I’m doing to keep the voltage down and temps as I will have it locked at 60fps vertical synchronization on

Specs are not that high. RTX 50 series is almsot upon us and the recommended 3080Ti is basically 4 years old at this point. And a Ryzen 3600 for minimum is 5 years old. Also many games that requires 32Gb RAM nowdays. If you think these requirements are steep then I don't know what to say other than guess what... specs always increases over time. Nothing new. Has nothing to do with optimization. They simply wanted to make a next gen looking game and not be held back by dated hardware.
The requirements shouldn't be this much higher than an Xbox though which is older still.
Like why is a 3080ti and 12700k the recommended spec compared to say a XSX? The setup is far beyond the console when both target 60fps.

I mean...the Xbox Series X and PS5 are one to two years newer than the min spec RTX 20-series cards. The consoles will also probably be using a non-standard rendering resolution and custom settings.

I'm very much a proponent of keeping games accessible to people who can't afford to upgrade (remember, that also keeps the expensive hardware good for longer), but a 5 to 6 year old GPU finally showing up on the min spec list isn't that insane. I suspect the only reason the base 2060 wasn't listed is because some versions of it only came with 6GB of VRAM.

Besides, this is just one game. It's not like every 20-series card is suddenly obsolete and no future games will be playable. Not every developer is suddenly going to close the door on players without hardware RT.

Seriously? We can't turn of ray tracing?

I don't listen to system specs until I have tested it myself on my own hardware.

they say minimum requirements but at the end it still runs playable on my Steam Deck or ROG Ally.
Thats the experience I had made so far.

First bethesda game?

They always do this btw. Overstate the maximimum and minimum requirements. I figure they must have a friend or two in the videocard/cpu business.
