RT is always on? And I wont run it with more 30 fps with my specs that run CP2077 with 144 on ultra 144p? And it looks worse than CP2077? Nah, hard pass. Maybe in 5 years for 5€ sale and a new PC ;)

Specs are not that high. RTX 50 series is almsot upon us and the recommended 3080Ti is basically 4 years old at this point. And a Ryzen 3600 for minimum is 5 years old. Also many games that requires 32Gb RAM nowdays. If you think these requirements are steep then I don't know what to say other than guess what... specs always increases over time. Nothing new. Has nothing to do with optimization. They simply wanted to make a next gen looking game and not be held back by dated hardware.
The requirements shouldn't be this much higher than an Xbox though which is older still.
Like why is a 3080ti and 12700k the recommended spec compared to say a XSX? The setup is far beyond the console when both target 60fps.

But I want to run it on my 11 year old system

If you are not living in the U.S., the Hardware required to play these games exceeds $3000+ in GPU cost alone. Even then, Frame Generation is required if you have a Display greater than 120Hz. Just look at the prices on Newegg.ca

I'll probably hope for a demo, or get it via an illegal way first to see how it runs.
I do hope the Ryzen 9 5900X + RTX 3080 10GB can still do High/Ultra on 1080p, but honestly I do not see the graphical fidelity to justify such high specs.
I seen games that look better than this, that ask much less requirements, so I really wonder if they been holding back the full graphics or if this really is unoptimized as hell.

I am very well aware the 3080 by now is by no means new, but seeing the specs on modern games go up this quickly, is pretty ridiculous when looking at how little the graphics improve.
Red Dead Redemption still is a gorgeous game and probably has a lot more going on, yet it runs amazing, so I really doubt this game will be having the right balance in visuals vs performance lol.

These settings for a game that looks less beautiful, than the 60fps ultra of uncharted collection. What a joke.

Pretty concerning my 4080 Super is 'ideal' for Ultra-4K/60. I run super ultrawide 1440 @ 240hz sooo im hoping to atleast see ~100fps with DLSS + Frame Gen. I know this isn't a fast-paced twitch shooter, but I cant do 60 anymore lol.

To quote myself, I just went and reinstalled Doom Eternal, which allegedly is also ID Tech 7 just like this Indiana Jones game.
I cranked everything to its highest, enabled ray tracing and put it to native 1080p, and it ran butter smooth (only did the first few levels but still).
150-300fps most of the time, so I have no idea what on earth that Indiana Jones game did to that engine, but it must be nothing good if it needs that much specs to hit 60fps, unless they added a ton of new things to the engine.

Sadly VALVᴱ is one of a kind in terms of optimisation.

we can get pcs in all the big technolgoy shops and all big shops in general not just pc shops. And with pcs we do 1000 things not just play games!

But that's not really new, is it?

For many year games were pushing hardware to it's limits. When games like Far Cry or later Crysis or The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion or Morrowind came out in the early 2000s, there where few systems that could run them with high frame rates at high settings. People complained less and just bought a new graphics card... or started saving for one.

Even earlier, before 3D graphics cards, games like Wing Commander or later Wing Commander 3 and 4 or the original Quake release required the fastest available CPUs to play with decent frame rates, especially at SVGA resolutions. Back then many gamers played them as well as they could and planed to upgrade their system as soon as possible. In those days many people upgraded their CPUs at least every year.

For years now people owning high end hardware complain that games hardly ever push their expensive hardware but when a game actually does that, for a change, people start complaining about that too... really weird...
I know all this because iam 37 years old and got my first pc in 1996 when iw as9 years old.... All games then had very bad graphics. Ww could never imagine that one day we will have the amazing graphics of today! Now most games at max settings 1440p look like movies! Then all games had very bad graphics. It was only after 2010 that games graphics started becoming good. And yes nowdays we dont need to upgrade so often to play max settings 1440p or 1080p max settings 60 fps like we needed in the past.
