would've been cool if a younger actor tried out for indy, not every game needs troy baker or nolan north give younger actors support
A "younger actor" would not have had a middle-aged man's voice. This takes place between Raiders and Holy Grail.
That's when AI voice changer should be used. Troy can deliver the performance and use AI to make the voice be just like Harrison Ford.
I'm not talking about AI replacing actors..
I'm talking about this:

i know that… im saying not every voice or character has to be nolan or troy…😑 it gets old after a while and as for age young or old both can do a indy impression hell anthony ingruber did a spot on job https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rG9SAq2kLFY 🤷🏻♂️game industry should pick other voice actors besides those 2.
But sorry to tell you, AI does have a place in voice acting and it's already happening like it or not. You can't stop progress and you are simply naive if you can't see the benefits of it like Nvidia already demonstrated last week.
One day you're gonna play a Bethesda RPG in which you walk up to an NPC and instead of seeing a list of 4 possible things you can say to it and listen to pre-recorded answers, You will be able to chat with the NPC for as long as you want and actually ask the things you want. That will only be possible with AI and it will happen.
That won't mean voice actors will lose their jobs. Story driven games like The Last of Us and similar titles will always need actors. Open world RPGs or sandbox games with crowds and hundreds of NPCs will benefit greatly from AI based voice and lines that will avoid being repetitive and predictable.. not to mention impossible to achieve any other way.
Don't be an ignorant cave man. Embrace technology and progress.

its possible ai will be used but as we saw in the writers strike of 2023 ppl still need or want to keep their jobs & union work is important…we are SOOOO far away from ai in games…. that prolly wont happen till possibly 2099 or 3000 but most of us will be gone by then, 🤷🏻♂️
Writers and actors are not losing their jobs. The AI to function in context on a RPG need a script written.. otherwise people playing Elder Scrolls VIII will be asking nonsensical, immature questions. The AI will be restrained to only talk about contextual relevant subjects related to the story of the game and world. That will require writers same as always. As well as main characters will still be fully voiced by actors in order to expose the important main quests.
No, we won't have to wait till 2099. It's coming in 5 years tops. First in VR, then everywhere.
You're talking to a SAG-AFTRA actor.
AI actors ain't coming. We won't let it. And just so you know, AI voice sounds ♥♥♥♥♥♥. It can't emote like a human. Uncanny valley at its best.
In addition, Troy did sounds like Harrison, even more than Harrison does now.
i kno just saying …could heavily be used more in far future🤷🏻♂️
