seriously? i have no hope for wolfenstein 3 to not also bend the knee.
why is what was acceptable in an 80s PG movie not acceptable anymore? its completely immersion breaking and not accurate to the established universe.

Looking into this, I think that a potential reason there weren't any symbols in the reveal trailer is because it was meant to be marketable globally, and by that I mean that they wanted one trailer to be able to be used for every country they were marketing in, and the reason I say that is because it looks like the gameplay trailer for Wolfenstein: The New Order does something similar, where you don't actually see any Nazi symbols at all, which could be different in the actual game. The same thing appears in the launch trailer of The Old Blood, too. Obviously I don't actually know if this is why, but I'd understand if that was the reason it was done. Besides that, the swastika is banned in 23 countries (although some have exceptions) and that could certainly play a role as well.

Given that symbol is banned in many countries it makes perfect sense, countries where it is banned get the same trailer, and when the game comes out it will either be the iron cross for all regions or the iron cross for those regions that are restricted. Given this is Disney however, it may end up being the Iron Cross for everyone, and on PC people will probably be able to mod in for historical accuracy if they see fit.
