How to enable Rift Support?
Hi,

haven't found a way to enable Rift support.
Not in the options, -vr isn't working.

What have I missed?

Thanks

Yeah looking to try this with the DK2. However with the massive changes to the SDK and how broken it is at the moment, I undeerstand its going to take a while.
I vote for DK2 too. Suprise us developers. :-)
i bought ether one with the intent of playing it on my dk2. please update it!
Hey all - we hear your requests for DK2! It would be awesome to implement for Ether One but we first have to get our hands on one :) As soon as we do we'll update but we can't give any time-frame for doing so atm - sorry I can't be more specific.
Cool!

As long as it's coming 'some time' that's fine I suppose. ;)
:pandastunned: Thanks for the update Pete Bottomley, even if it's a frustrating one, because it must be even more frustrating for you on having to wait to get your Oculus Rift DK2, then finally start implementing it, but no doubt it will happen shortly too and we'll all be playing your outstanding game again, even more immersed and in better quality too :spacehelmet:

I hope Bolton is as warm, sunny and summery as London is these days, as it really does help keep our minds positive and energized :summersun:
Thanks for the update, I realize that a lot of developers haven't gotten their hands on their DK2 in order to start updating their games, but it's always nice to see confirmation that is what is going on. Hopefully you'll get your hands on your order in just a few short weeks and the update process won't be too onerous.
Can't wait for DK2 support.
Ahh shame. I have a DK2 hopefully coming this month and was wondering if I would be able to use this with it. I take it there is not automatic compatibility between DK1 and 2 then, e.g. you can't run Ether One in "DK1 mode" or something? SDK issues?
You can (sort of) SuperNashwan with some tweaking, but it's not worth it really ...low resolution, low frame rate and no head tracking ...all very important :spycon:

@Evil FazZ - thanks for your reply :)
KooL SuperNashwan ...and don't worry, just have patients :clocktime:

...until the older Rift DK1 the last I actually used a 'decent' version of a VR HMD was over 16 years ago and the entire system/product was bigger than grand piano with audio limited to compressed 2Ch audio, basic polygon graphics with no textures and no interent options what so ever  ...Oh and no, it wasn't a 2014 Cr'Apple Mac thing, though rather similar :reusapple:
+1 for Dk2 support! It's a pity it won't be available any time soon, the drought of DK2 content is making people purchase almost anything with DK2 support, it would be a great moment for a DK2 release :(
buy the game only if it has DK2 support
I've got my DK2 now, and can confirm ITS AWESOME, *when* you can convince it to work :) You will need a beast of a rig though. Anything less than 75fps in game and you get "judder". While fine in monitor-based games, judder in the Rift is a one way trip to a headache.

On the nausea front, when it comes to first person games I actually find its strafing and backwards movement that causes the most nausea, I guess because those are unnatural movements for a human especially without a sense of acceleration.
