It's in the plant like casing that the exploding (crash) fish come from.

Glad to know these things are still around, in my current game I have yet to encounter any. Strange.

Almost every cave has at least one. Where you stat the game, search the caves there....no need to roam around. Lure the fish away from the plant, let it explode and then return to the plant for your prize.

Its probably just a fluke, Ive searched the caves around me, even in the kelp beds, no joy. Its ok though, an update is incoming and I'll be re-starting anyway.

Crash fish pods are in caves of the safe shallows area around spawn. You'll know when one is near when you hear the pod flick open.

Oh yeah I'm quite familar with them, I remember a petition to get rid of them, I begged the Dev's to keep em. Pain in the hindquarters but I still like them.

So after the crash leaves the nest then blows up, the powder / meal is in the nest?

Yes, but not every crash pod will have powder in it. You can easily tell the difference whether one is empty or full - the empty ones are pure red and the full ones have an elevated yellow "pile" in it.

i have never gotten crash powder from a single one... is there a reason for this
tran_fors Oct 24, 2015 @ 7:45pm
It's only in like one out of four or five... Either you've been unlucky, or you've been blowing up the "nests" of the ones that have it.

I think crashes are cool. Every game needs at least one living thing that explodes.

I think my game is bugged. You say it's that not every one has it, but I never find any. The pod is buried too deep in the ground.

I've heard about this being a possible bug for some folks
