Yeah into the big aquerium or alien holding cell, whatever its called. Then they will hatch at some point and if you take them from there and put them outside. Bewarned, they instantly grow into full size LOL.

suddenly i had all sorts of crazy beats outside by poor lidt base in the safe shallows.

Drop them, in the large Alien Containment. They hatch in a few game days. They stay docile while in Alien Containment, and predators will not attack or eat prey fish, or attack you inside the Contaiment.

After they hatch, you can pick them up from inside the Containment. They may or may not turn immediately aggro (mixed finding on ti this- some players have had predators stay tame after release, some have had them go aggro right away.), but the do immediately grow to full size. And... many species seem to want to come back home to the base you raised them in. Kinda funny if it;s Rabbitrays, kinda not funny if it's Stalkers or Gasopods. So be sure to release a good distance away from the base you raised them in. A really good distance.

And be sure to build Alien Containment 2-3 stacked high to allow for the room they need. Each Alien Containment has a max capacity of 10 fish, though I am not sure if that is a single inventory square fish like Peepers or if medium to large take up more "slots". Once the max capacity is reached, the fish or predators will stop reproducing.

Or, you could release them into the bio reactor. >:)

Lol! I still can't bring myself to burn cute little Rabbitrays. But Gasopods are a completely different story... muahahahaha! :D

I tried to drop a egg i knew was a crab snake egg ( I grabbed it from a empty shroom down in their biome) but i could not drop the egg or put it in the planter (yes i know dumb idea but i wasn't really sure how it worked) and i had the aquarium stacked two high so how high does it need to be?

I haven't tested it in awhile but last time I tried I had a tank with stalkers and some other fish and over time it had nothing but stalkers in it so I assume they do actually eat the prey fish if you leave them together for long enough.

Either that or I was unlucky.

As a tip put the predetor in bioreactor to keep your base safe. Coughs electric eel hell coughs

^These people don't know what they're talking about. You need to sit on them for at least 20 in-game minutes every day through the incubation period. Give them plenty of affection, too - talking to them helps, or playing soothing music with the speakers pressed right up against the Containment Tank. Be advised that for Stalker eggs, Metallica works best.

Never had that happen to me. But you do realize, you r are quoting a post I made 6 months ago, right? So, things may have changed, or new ugs developed. In the [u[]6 months[/u] since I posted that? You know, changes? Like with new updates and content? The kind of stuff that happens often in Early Access games? My set up back then was very different from my set up now, 6 months later. So, I have no idea if it still works, since I don;t have the same creatures in my Alien Containments as I had back then? Becuase I started new saves to test other mechanincs and balances out ofter the most recent update. Cone on man, you've been playing long enough to know that a confirmed "thing" from 2 or 3 updates ago may not work the same after the 2 or 3 updates go live. You do know that, right?

(Edit because Cougar posted faster than I did...)

^^^ This however, has always been true. Stalkers LOVE Metallica, even while still in the egg. I believe "Unforgiven" is one of their all time faves. :p
